We work with chunky t-shirt yarn — it's enjoyable to work with at any level, and the result is a beautiful bag you actually want to use. Beginners will learn the foundations from scratch, and those with some experience can jump straight into the project and focus on the making.

What you will learn (or practise):

• How to hold your hook and yarn comfortably
• The chain stitch and single crochet — the building blocks of everything
• How to work in the round to shape your bag
• How to finish and secure your work
